Latest program update

The CEC states HEEHRA single-family rebates are fully reserved statewide as of February 24, 2026, that reservation requests not yet approved have been placed on a waitlist, and that no new income verification requests are being accepted. The HEEHRA multifamily component is still accepting applications with available funding varying by region. The HOMES program, delivered as Equitable Building Decarbonization Direct Install ($130.3 million) and a Pay for Performance program ($90.8 million), is listed as not yet available. No single-family homeowner application is open.

California rebate questions

Can I still get a federal tax credit in California?

No. 25C and 25D were both repealed by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act for property placed in service after December 31, 2025. Anything installed in California in 2026 earns no federal residential energy credit. Work finished on or before that date can still be claimed.
