The Iowa Economic Development Authority's residential energy programs page states Iowa "expects to receive" HOMES and HEEHRA funding and that "these rebates are not yet available" to consumers, directing residents to a sign-up list for future program information. There is no application portal. The page's status section still references guidelines issued July 27, 2023 and a general expectation of household access "by mid-2025," so the published status text appears not to have been updated recently; treat the launch timeline as unresolved rather than imminent.

Can I still get a federal tax credit in Iowa?

No. 25C and 25D were both repealed by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act for property placed in service after December 31, 2025. Anything installed in Iowa in 2026 earns no federal residential energy credit. Work finished on or before that date can still be claimed.
