Attic insulation and air sealing$250Duct sealing is a separate $100 rebate. Attic must be above conditioned living space of at least 1,000 square feet; existing attic insulation must be R-19 or below and improved to at least R-30, and home leakage rate improved by at least 5%. Submit within 60 days of service.

Latest program update

The Indiana Office of Energy Development launched the Indiana Energy Saver Program on May 14, 2025, combining the Home Efficiency Rebates (HOMES) and Home Appliance Rebates (HEAR) into a single application. The program website states "Applications open — Apply Now!" and provides a homeowner registration portal. HOMES covers whole-home retrofits achieving at least 20% energy savings; HEAR is limited to households under 150% of area median income. Rebates are delivered as an upfront discount on the product and installation by a qualified contractor. No waitlist, pause or funding-exhausted notice appears on the program site.

Can I still get a federal tax credit in Indiana?

No. 25C and 25D were both repealed by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act for property placed in service after December 31, 2025. Anything installed in Indiana in 2026 earns no federal residential energy credit. Work finished on or before that date can still be claimed.
