The HEAR program launched September 3, 2024 and is accepting homeowner applications, though the state notes it is "being launched in phases, and not all products are currently available." The Home Efficiency Rebates (HER/HOMES) program is still listed under "Programs Coming Soon" on the state's clean energy site; Franklin Energy was announced in May 2026 as its implementer.

Can I still get a federal tax credit in New Mexico?
No. 25C and 25D were both repealed by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act for property placed in service after December 31, 2025. Anything installed in New Mexico in 2026 earns no federal residential energy credit. Work finished on or before that date can still be claimed.
