Latest program update
HEAR funding is live through NYSERDA's Appliance Upgrade Program, whose current application is marked "2026 Program Year, Version 2.0" and covers only ENERGY STAR heat pump clothes dryers plus the electrical wiring and panel upgrades needed to install them, for households below 150% of Area Median Income. HEAR funds also flow to low-income households through EmPower+. NYSERDA's dedicated Inflation Reduction Act page now returns "File Not Found," and a launch of the HER/HOMES whole-home rebates could not be confirmed from any NYSERDA primary source.
Administered by New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
