The North Dakota Department of Commerce states that it "has applied for both programs and is awaiting full approval by the Department of Energy," that "Neither Energy Rebate Programs have launched and no rebates are currently available," and that "There is no estimated program launch date." Commerce further warns that "Any offers in North Dakota at this time related to these programs are likely scams or fraudulent," and that neither Commerce nor its contractors will contact residents directly about the program.
