The Wyoming Energy Authority is the sole state entity eligible to apply for both programs and has not opened applications to homeowners; no application portal is published. In a June 17, 2026 Wyoming Public Media report, State Energy Program Manager Patrick Millin said "it's still a little bit of a waiting game and we don't have a firm date on when rebates will be available here in Wyoming," following a federal pause on IRA fund distribution that began in January 2025.

Can I still get a federal tax credit in Wyoming?

No. 25C and 25D were both repealed by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act for property placed in service after December 31, 2025. Anything installed in Wyoming in 2026 earns no federal residential energy credit. Work finished on or before that date can still be claimed.
