Latest program update

U.S. DOE issued Tennessee a conditional award in January 2025, but TDEC states it must still receive full DOE approval and an executed agreement, then complete contracting with TVA, before rebates can be made available. TDEC's page carries a Consumer Protection Notice stating that funding is not yet available and that any current offers to households are not affiliated with Tennessee's IRA Home Energy Rebate Programs.

Can I still get a federal tax credit in Tennessee?

No. 25C and 25D were both repealed by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act for property placed in service after December 31, 2025. Anything installed in Tennessee in 2026 earns no federal residential energy credit. Work finished on or before that date can still be claimed.
