Latest program update

The Florida Energy Saver Program portal, which is the state's application system, states that applications are not currently being accepted and that 'The HEAR and HOMES programs are expected to launch in the future.' The portal lists a phased sequence (DOE approval for HEAR, HEAR pilot launch, HEAR statewide launch, HOMES pilot launch), all marked 'Pending final DOE approvals' with no dates. Residents can register a profile to be notified when applications open. The portal footer shows a 2025 copyright.

Can I still get a federal tax credit in Florida?

No. 25C and 25D were both repealed by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act for property placed in service after December 31, 2025. Anything installed in Florida in 2026 earns no federal residential energy credit. Work finished on or before that date can still be claimed.
