The South Carolina Energy Office, part of the Office of Regulatory Staff, administers the Home Efficiency Rebates (HOMES) and Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) programs. Its rebates page states: "Rebates are not currently available but are expected to launch in 2026." No application portal exists; the site directs residents to subscribe for updates.

Can I still get a federal tax credit in South Carolina?

No. 25C and 25D were both repealed by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act for property placed in service after December 31, 2025. Anything installed in South Carolina in 2026 earns no federal residential energy credit. Work finished on or before that date can still be claimed.
