Applications are not open. DNR's program page states the department submitted its state application to DOE on November 22, 2024, that "details about rebate eligibility and how to apply are not finalized at this time," and that "the rebates may not be made available until 2027 at the earliest and potentially as late as 2028." A June 17, 2026 DNR news release announced a request for proposals, open until 3 p.m. July 2, to select a contractor to design and implement the HOMES and HEEHR programs, and cited "over $151 million in formula funding." DNR's page lists $76 million for HOMES and $75 million for HEEHR; DOE's allocation table lists $75,807,060 (HOMES) and $75,366,640 (HEAR).

Can I still get a federal tax credit in Missouri?
No. 25C and 25D were both repealed by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act for property placed in service after December 31, 2025. Anything installed in Missouri in 2026 earns no federal residential energy credit. Work finished on or before that date can still be claimed.
